Moving to Austin in 2017 to attend community college while working full-time as a bank teller was a significant turning point in my life. It was a period of intense juggling, balancing work, studies, and personal commitments.

Two years later, when I received the acceptance letter from The University of Texas at Austin, a new chapter in my life began. This transition, marked by determination and resilience, was a testament to my belief in my potential and my unwavering commitment to personal growth.

Living as a first-generation Asian American in a small Texas community was a profound struggle, a journey that often made me feel like a foreigner in my skin. Yet, a fierce determination, fueled by the belief that I was destined for something more splendid, always burned within me, igniting a fire of resilience and inspiring those around me.

My father's arduous journey to America as a Vietnamese refugee is not just a story but a living testament to his unwavering pursuit of the American Dream.

His narrative, a constant presence in my life, has not only instilled in me a relentless work ethic but also a profound respect for education. His journey, a beacon of hope and resilience, has shaped my values and aspirations, guiding me toward personal growth.

My thirst for knowledge and desire to make a difference propelled me forward. Graduating in May 2022 with a degree in Economics and a minor in Finance was a personal success for me and a family triumph. However, it was only the beginning of my unyielding mission to leave an indelible mark on the world.

As a business analyst for the Leadership and Education for All Foundation(LEAF), I use my background to empower underserved college students who want to impact the world through education positively.

My journey has been a complex tapestry of challenges, opportunities, and personal growth. As a first-generation Asian American in a small Texas community, I faced unique hurdles. Yet, I am driven by a passion to inspire and empower the next generation of individuals like me, serving as the guiding light I wish I had during my turbulent path.
